Ukhrul: The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) on Sunday said it will boycott any activities of the State government led by chief minister N Biren Singh in Ukhrul District.

TKS in the December 19 press communique reiterated its stand of boycotting the chief minister of Manipur and the speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly and its effective announcement of non-cooperation movement against the State government on September 5.

TKS criticized N Biren Singh for not addressing the standing demand of the tribal body of Manipur. It said that his government’s decision to inaugurate Lungchong Maiphai Block Hq. scheduled on December 20 is highly insensitive and unacceptable to the Saklong.

It may be mentioned that Manipur tribal CSOs in a consultative meeting held in Ukhrul headquarters during September endorsed boycott movement against Manipur State government.

Similar tribal frontal organisations consultative meeting, packing ATSUM’s decision to boycott ‘Go To Hill 2.0″ was held in Senapati, Kangpokpi, and Chandel districts during September.
