SHILLONG, July 12: Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) announced “a successful collaboration” with PRIME Meghalaya in hosting the highly anticipated Impact Week on its campus.

The week-long event, held from July 4 to 11, 2024, marked a significant initiative to foster innovation and leadership among aspiring young leaders in an inspiring initiative aimed at developing solutions for pressing issues of Meghalaya like pollution, sustainable tourism, youth employment and waste management, it said.

The Impact Week commenced with a three-day training program where senior coaches from the Impact Week team shared their expertise and mentored junior coaches.

This intensive training was designed to equip junior coaches with the necessary skills and strategies to inspire and guide the next generation of innovators.

Following this, the remaining four days of Impact Week saw junior coaches taking the lead in training students from 15 different institutions across Meghalaya. These sessions offered a platform for students to engage in hands-on workshops and collaborative activities, emphasizing creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.

“MLCU is proud to have hosted this impactful event, which brought together talented individuals and provided valuable learning experiences for all participants. The collaboration with PRIME Meghalaya exemplifies MLCU’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering community engagement through impactful educational initiatives,” it added.
