ANSAM 2nd Legislative Assembly Held at Phyapou Village, Hosted by PNTM

The assembly adopted resolution on various issues including Reviewing of the proceedings of the 1st Legislative Assembly, Current Pressing Issues pertaining to tribal in the state of Manipur, Indo Naga peace process and discussed and deliberated on Social and Political issues.

Senapati: The 2nd Legislative Assembly for the tenure 2020-22 of the All Naga Students Association, Manipur (ANSAM) was held on September 25, Saturday at Phyapou Village, Tahamzam. The assembly was reported to be hosted by the Poumai Naga Student Students Union (PNTM).

A day long affair during the assembly, out of 19 Constituent Units and Subordinates bodies only one unit absent where the meeting turned out to a big gathering with all the constituent units, subordinate bodies and Senior Leaders of the Association were present.

The monolith of 2nd Federal Assembly was unveiled by President, ANSAM and hoisted the Association flag before proceeding to the Assembly hall. The Assembly begin with the invocation led by Fr. Roy MD, Principal SFS School following by Self Introduction of the esteemed members in the August house and then a one minute of silent prayer was observed in honour of the departed leaders and paid homage to departed friends and brothers Lt. Th. Abraham Ngade, former President PNTM and Lt. Athuan Abonmai, former President, Zeliangrong Baudi.

On formation of quorum, Newman Polah, Speaker, Legislative Assembly tabled the agenda on the floor of the August house and called for the discussion and business hour that subsequently adopted the resolution on various issues including Reviewing of the proceedings of the 1st Legislative Assembly, Current Pressing Issues pertaining to tribal in the state of Manipur, Indo Naga peace process and discussed and deliberated on Social and Political issues.

The speaker acknowledged and appreciated all the members of the house for their participation in the 2nd Legislative Assembly and Hosts team, Phyapou Village Authority and Youth of the village.
