Hema Chowdhary a resident of Mumbai, Maharashtra after her racial and abusive remarks that went viral against Nagas and particularly Nagaland State, will be brought to Nagaland in coordination with Nagaland police and Maharashtra government, news sources has confirmed. However the exact date of her arriving is not made known yet, as reported by Kuholy Chishi on July 11, to Eastern Mirror, who is one of the many complaints against Chowdhary.

Several FIRs were lodged against her from Nagas in Delhi, Mumbai and Nagaland states for her derogatory remarks and hate speech on consumption of dog meat.

Politician Maneka Gandhi earlier in the week appealed and urged Nagaland State government to act on the issue. Authorities in Nagaland government has ever since banned the sale of dog meat and halted trading and supply market chain from neighbouring states following pressure from across the country on social media. Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy, tweet on ban of all commercial import and trading of dogs was widely reported.
